Yeah, I know I know... "what are you going to do with that? Okay, so I don't know yet, but I like the idea of altered dominos for jewelry like these here, and Stef Francis' idea I saw in Quilting Arts magazine for making lovely things with silk cocoons. If someone had told me a year ago that I would be buying empty silk cocoons on eBay, I probably would've told them that they were batcrap crazy... But maybe I'm the one who's crazy?

The silk things got me to thinking about fiber stuff and you really need to see this wonderfully talented knitter. How I can go from empty silk pods to yarn is beyond me but in my head there is a connection. Anyway her name is Prudence Mapstone. Found her on Wol and Zo (blog) and she is a freeform knitter/crocheter. Her site is www.knotjustknitting.com. Amazing. I want those sweaters, the purses, everything!!!! Beautiful. Fortunately for us there are some adults who never grow up thus never loose their imagination. Her work is incredible. Enjoy!!!!
