I'm a little behind with my fabric postcards, but I finally found time to make one yesterday. I am so lucky to have a 6 year old who still takes an ocasional nap! I made this using scraps of linen, silk, and Japanese fabrics, and I added a vintage button. The colors in the appliqued fan are so close to the colors in the silk background that it almost looks like the fan is part of it and not sewn on. I stitched it all with gold metallic thread. I didn't take a picture of the other side, but I backed it with some Indonesian fabric and ironed on white address labels this time.
That's a beautiful postcard. I think fabric postcards are a great idea and yours are so nicely made. How did you write "blossom time" on the little part at the top? Is it printed or done with a marker or something else? Really lovely.
