A real scoop

Oh la la- Quilting Arts has a blog! How cool.
Magazines_1 Bookmark this puppy right away! I'm so jazzed about this. This will make waiting for their magazine seem less long- I wish it came out more often than 4 times a year.
Many thanks to Sandy at Dangling by a Thread for the link- Sandy you're the best! Did I mention how thrilled I was? Oh, sorry.  Well then... did I mention that my friend the amazing Lisa brought me back the latest issue of Cloth Paper Scissors from L.A.? Big deal you say? Actually it IS a big deal because to my knowledge you can't find this magazine in France! I must subscribe asap (i.e. as soon as I get a job).

Backtack III

Btbutton3 Backtack III is up and running, and I managed to sign up this time! Good thing I'm a night person, because signups started around 1 am my time, and within 1 hour and 10 minutes the quota was reached. So I'm pondering what sort of softie I'll be making for this and sifting through my black and white fabrics. My partner is Eireann & this is her site.

i HEART ullabenulla

Petit_coeur Ullabenulla... I love this blog. Big time. Whenever I visit Ulla's blog, I sigh over all the eye candy, and art, and lovely objects- everything is so inspiring! I get all wistful, and then I feel like teleporting myself here to the shop where she teaches classes in altered books, etc. Why aren't there places like Castle in the Air in France??

Blog Anniversary

Moi_photobooth Wow, 3 posts in one day- could it be... yes! It's croque-choux's 1 Year Blog Anniversary! Thanks to everyone who actually reads me, and a special thanks for all the nice comments I've received here during the past year. I might not always find time to answer each person, but these e-mails, well wishes, and virtual pats on the back mean a lot to me! At first I didn't tell any people I knew that I had a blog because I was afraid they'd be all :"You started a WHAT? A blog?? On the web? Are you nuts??!", but now when my friends and family want to know what I've been up to they check my blog first which is really funny. When I called my brother (long distance, bien sur) the other day and told him that my temp job didn't go permanent as planned, he answered "Yeah. It's the Word out on the street". Ya gotta love dry humor, or as they say in French "humour pince sans rire". But I digress. Here is a link to the first 2 things I wrote here last year, and a link to the full croquechoux archives.

ps: Thanks to Mia for being the 1st person to leave me a comment last year! Check out her blog (in Swedish!) and try this totally fun test she blogged about to see which celebrity you ressemble! OhmyGod, I tried this and I most ressemble... Lawrence Fishburn!!

...fantastisk!

No that's not a typographical error, read on and you'll find out why!
I love it when someone leaves a nice comment on my blog which in turn leads me to theirs, especially when I discover a new fun blog. Thanks Laila for doing this! I just bookmarked your blog and couldn't resist adding it to my sidebar. Have a look at Laila's blog All My Own, and see what she's crafting up in Norway!

Mail (Fiona rocks!)

Fionas_card I got this awesome fabric postcard in the mail from Fiona yesterday! We did a mini swap and this is the card she made for me. It's hand painted, and I love it. I'll post a picture of the one I sent later, as I don't want to spoil the surprise before it arrives. Be sure to check out Fiona's blog leap-of-faith to see more of her work. I'm in love with her ATCs!

New blog in town

Okay, it's really late here, but I could'nt resist posting a link to this new blog: plump-pudding. Adorable little creatures and things made from pretty vintage fabrics! Samantha has just started her blog and is in the middle of tweaking things as I write this, but have a sneak peek and be sure to bookmark her site :o)
