New things

I am trying to get back in the loop- I'm so behind in my crafting, answering e-mail, and reading! So what has been going on?

I just finished a temp job in Paris spending far too much time rushing around trying to get everything done and worrying about the stuff that didn't get done. In the end, all the worry was for nothing as most worrying is- they were happy with my work and gave me a very nice send-off and these flowers. The good news is that Monday I jump into a brand new job, a real job very close to home with normal hours (yay!), which should leave me more time to actually have a Life :o)

I "adopted" a Misio, an adorable little amigurumi kitty all the way from Australia- beautifully crocheted by Madoka. I mentioned her site recently, and when some of her kitties went up for adoption I scurried over to eBay and snagged one! I would have some better pictures if my son hadn't gotten a little over curious with my digital camera -more about that some other day... Today it actually felt like Spring, which is why Misio is sunning herself on my dining table.

A few people have asked me if I sell my fabric postcards, which is very flattering! the Answer: Not so far, but this is definitely something new I'd like to try. Maybe now I'll finally have a little more time to pursue this idea...

amigurumi wabbit

   
Just finished a small amigurumi rabbit, made from a pattern in one of the books I got for my birthday. Okay, he isn't very Halloweenish, but he was fun and easy to make during the odd moments when I had just a few minutes here and there . Lately it's much simpler for me to whip out a crochet hook than it is to set up my sewing machine and paw through my fabrics and embellishments as I am temporarily lacking craft space. The last thing I "sewed" was the tiny silk chirimen scarf this bunny is wearing! That, and his ears :o)
